Greetings Creeps!

Welcome to October!  In case you don’t know October is my favorite time of year.  While my life is pretty horror filled all year round October and Halloween really brings it out of me.  To get in the spirit of the season I have seasonal favorites that I like to revisit and this year I want to share some of them with you.

I’m a huge music fan.  I listen to multiple albums a day while I’m working and wouldn’t you know it, there is tons of great music that puts me in the Halloween state of mind.  One such album is Iced Earth’s Horror Show.  Not so much a concept album as it is a collection of songs about the baddest of the baddies from horror’s history.  Every song is about a classic monster whether it be Dracula, The Phantom of the Opera or the Wolfman.  Presented in Iced Earths very serious straight faced power metal style this album instantly puts me in Halloween mode.  There can never be to many songs about Frankenstein.  By no means a masterpiece thanks in part to how serious Iced Earth take themselves, this is a welcome divergence from their usual serious concept albums and it still has their best singer on it.  Good for a season listen and to remind you why we call these monsters classic.
