First Creephouse Jams of the New Year

Greetings Creeps!

2013 may be behind us now but I’m still finding and listening to some amazing music from the year.  New releases have come to a stand still but there are a couple major releases in the very near future that will set the pace for 2014 musically.  Most anticipated is the new Panopticon album.  Kentucky is currently holding the spot as my favorite record and given his discography, the new one will be at least amazing.  The new Waldgeflüster sounds amazing already so I’m anxiously awaiting that release.  Their last album was incredible. I’ve heard samples of the new Saor album and his previous album made my best of 2013 list.  Also out of the gate we can expect a new Kampfar and Alcest.  2014 seems to off on the right track.

Obsidian Tongue – A Nest of Ravens in the Throat of Time

Some beautiful black metal.  Solidly played, soaring in nature with tremendous cover art and just simply, a great album.

Fen – Dustwalker

I have a previous Fen album but it didn’t seem to grab me all that much.  I saw their new one popping up on some year end lists so I thought I might give them another shot.  An incredibly proggy and experimental take on black metal.  Very glad I gave them another shot.  Wish I would have sooner.

Ephel Duath – Hemmed By Light, Shaped By Darkness

I’m not sure how to describe this album.  It’s like a crusty, blackened, jazzy prog rock album.  It’s pretty interesting.  The voice is what I’m referencing when I say crusty.  It works well with the music.  Must be heard.

Ancestors Blood – A Moment of Clarity

Veneror – Percussimus Foedus cum Morte

Wêdruj’cy Wiatr – Tam, gdzie Miesi’c op“akuje ‘wit

Thränenkind – The Elk

The Fall of Every Season – Amends

Lake of Blood – Omnipotens Tyrannus

Zügellos – Goathymns

Iron Dogs – Free and Wild

Bones – Sons of Sleaze

Condor – S/T

Immortal Bird – Akrasia

Noumena – Death Walks with Me

Castevet – Obsian

Catuvolcus – Voyageurs De L’Aube

Stay Creepy My Friends!
