Creephouse Jams 06/07/13

By June 7, 2013 Kevins Posts

Greetings Creeps!

Now that the Creep Meister has let me out of the dungeon to post on the blog I figure I will take advantage of it.

One of my loves and inspiration is music.  Particularly sharing music with people.  There is so much great music out there if you look for it.  I will be posting my weekly play lists with some notes about particular albums or bands I am really digging on that week.  I let my list get a little unwieldy the past few weeks so the list will come next week but this week I thought I would highlight some albums I have been into recently. Click the titles for links.

Panopticon – Vestiges Split

Panopticon’s side of the split with Vestiges has been on high rotation for the past couple weeks.  His album from last year, Kentucky, may be my favorite album ever so I guess I am a bit biased.  This is strong, empowering, emotional one man band black metal.  You have never heard anything like this.

Deafheaven – Sunbather

More awesome black metal.  These guys seem to get the “post” tag added to them but I don’t know what that means.  Melodic and atmospheric these guys are great music to have on while I am working.

Christopher Lee’s Charlemagne – The Omens of Death

It is Christopher Lee singing metal!  What could be better?

Black Dahlia Murder – Everblack

It took me awhile to be sold on these guys but they are doing melodic death metal the right way.  Their new album is better than the last and the last is what got me into them.

Lucero – Texas & Tennessee EP

It isn’t all metal all the time.  Lucero is one of my favorite bands and they seem to be getting better with age.  One of the few bands you can truly still call rock n’ roll.

That’s it for this week!  Next week I will have a full playlist to boot!

Stay Creepy My Friends!
